I’m the kind of person who genuinely enjoys taking typing tests, which is probably not something many people can relate to. Every morning, before I do anything important, I open a typing website and see if I can beat my previous score. Some people scroll social media, some people go for a run, but I get excited about shaving two words per minute off my personal best.
Over the years, I’ve developed completely ridiculous theories about keyboards. I’m convinced certain keyboards are lucky, while others secretly slow people down. My friends laugh when I tell them that key spacing affects the “mood” of my typing, but I stand by it.
Last year, I found an old mechanical keyboard at a second-hand shop and became obsessed with testing it. Somehow my speed improved dramatically, and I started bringing it everywhere. Now people jokingly call me the “Typing Whisperer.” It’s a nonsense title, but honestly, I’m pretty proud of it.
