I have just turned twelve and have only a speed of 87WPM. For me that is really good.

that is actually really good. I had about the same speed at your age. It took a year of not really practising at all to get to around fiftyish. I just turned twelve and have been practising on fast fingers all the time for about a month now and my fastest is now 95WPM. Practising will help you loads.

I generally use the homerow way of typing except I use caps lock instead of shift and I press b with my right hand.

Just like Sean Wrona I use caps lock. I find it easier, quicker and more accurate to use.

I am from Papua New Guinea and proper typing is practically unheard of. I just turned twelve and i have a highest of 87WPM.
