Re: Cheaters

This guy always gets around 63 wpm on average on English Typing Test, but for some reason, he happens to spike up to 111WPM and decline in wpm without getting a word wrong or correcting. His 63wpm avg. always has a dozen words incorrect, so that doesn't really correlate to the flawless 111wpm.

Re: How fast do YOU type on a cellphone?

Using an iPad, I will reach an abysmal 50 words per minute. This is because (and I'm self diagnosing myself right now) I don't get the feed back that I have hit a key. Since both keyboard and words displayed are on the same screen, I will only type with two fingers, as well as look only at the keybo...

Re: Screenshot not accurate

Hello all. I am new to this site. I am here because a job that I'm applying for is requiring me to upload my typing speed with a screenshot to another website. However, when I click on screenshot the information that it is showing is totally different than my results. Does anyone know how this can ...

Re: Is 95 WPM good for a 11 year old?

Being an 11 year old and being able to type around 90-100 WPM is a heck of a good accomplishment. An average 11 year old might have an average WPM of 10-30 WPM, and considering how your scores are, it seems like you have an average of about 80-100 WPM, which is ace for someone as young as you. I mys...

Re: What fingers do you use when you type?

I use about 8 of my fingers. The left index finger might be able to reach a letter not supposed to be reached in a regular typing technique (Considering as a youngster at 6-9 years old, I was using the hunt n' peck technique), and I also don't obey touch typing rules. I put my left pinkie on L when ...

Re: Tests too easy?

Well, what I believe is that 10FastFingers give you roughly more WPM than any other websites might be the way the tests work. The tests are sort of laid out in a way where you have to type many words in an order not related to any sentence. You could try Advanced Typing Tests, but if you want to try...

Re: For some reason...

I should suggest using Romanian as a language you can also do with the English keyboard. Another languages you could do possibly be with the English keyboard ( with some accents ) are: Italian Malaysian and Albanian (with an exception of Advanced test) Those seem to be the languages you can try with...

Re: Yellow Highlighting under: Text Practice: ...Your own te

As far as I know, you likely can't get rid of the yellow highlighted text. It's such an annoyance to type with. I would assume Chris (owner and creator of website) implemented that feature only to have the people typing know that they are typing the words, but he didn't think that people who type fa...

Re: Adding sound effect to type test.

Just a simple suggestion, maybe the owners could spice things up by adding sound effect to the test when you're typing, like a simple piano keytone and so on. Well, yes, spicing things up a bit with a sound effect might make the website get more praise, but what about the people that really pay att...

Re: How many people need to participate?

Well, after looking at his profile, I think I have found out how many people you need in a competition. 4 could be a plausible number, but he does not appear to have been in a competition that he has recently done. The only recent competition with the lowest amount of people is 5, and there is one d...
