This is my understanding: once you have published a text publicly you cannot edit it. Just make a new one! If it is published only privately, you still have the option to edit it. The button will be located near the top left, under the text's title.

A candid observation. True, 10fastfingers does seem to "inflate" your typing speed, and the reasons are obvious. For one, the regular test only incorporates a vocabulary of 200 words, which allows you to eventually memorize all of them by muscle memory. This is not necessarily a bad thing....

Ah, this makes more sense now. I should have looked at this topic first. There have been times when I have expected 135wpm and gotten 145-150, it is hard to tell sometimes if it is due to lagg or just a great typing run.
