Two Fingers Typing

Hello!

I am very curious about this topic, I've always typed with two fingers on each hand only.
My index fingers and my two thumbs (one of them dedicated to the space bar).

Everyone always tells me that it's weird, nevertheless I've always been a very fast typer (140-160 on my mech keyboard).

Does anyone type with two fingers or is it just me ?

Most others who do are probably hunt and peck typists.

toddhicks is right. Which means that you are goddamn fast.
And you will probably never meet someone who's as fast as you, using your typing method (the 2 fastest I met were able to reach 90 and 120WPM. They typed with 3 fingers : both index fingers and one thumb for the space bar)

You really should learn touch type / 6 to 10 fingers typing. Imagine how fast you could be

I type with two fingers, one on each hand (index fingers.) Typing with other fingers/all fingers has usually been uncomfortable for me, but I can still type about 110-120 at my peak.

That's awesome. A question I have though, for people who type with only two fingers is how do you have any semblance of accuracy when typing at those speeds? Whenever I try typing like this, hitting keys that are quite far from each other at speed is nearly impossible using only a single finger.

Hi there,

2 index + 2 thumbs = 4 fingers typing.

Not 2.

Typing at 160 WPM with only 2 fingers is just fantasy.

4 finger typing isn't as bad as it's perceived to be because at any one point in time you're only using at max 4 fingers to type. The obvious downside is your fingers aren't in position to type everything optimally, but if it's comfortable for you then keep doing what you're doing.
