Has the average WPM changed?

Post by FelipeMayrink » Sun Feb 10, 2013 2:02 pm

According to the 10FastFingers FAQ, the world WPM average is 42.

However, that average was taken from 14+ million tests. There's 54.4+ million tests taken now. So I'm curious:

Has the average changed? And, if so, how?

Thank you. :D

I've actaully been thinking about this myself :D
I would estimate it has gone up, since so many members have been practicing and raising their speed.
What do you guys think?

I would personally be more interested about the average WPM of people who passed a typing course, guess this is around 70 WPM?
