Bug with "ties"

Post by chimchim » Fri Feb 22, 2013 3:15 pm

Noticed in a competition that when two(or more?) users have the same WPM but different CPM, the lower CPM typer may lose.

Not calling sour grapes at all... but shouldn't the higher CPM win? Here's a screen shot:

I'm not sure at all, but I think the winner is the one who does the test first.

But you're right, the winner should be the highest CPM!

Hi chimchim,

You're right, you should have won. Unfortunately it seems that in case of a tie the first place is randomly assigned.

It also raises the problem of perfect equality: same WPM and same CPM (I've seen it several times). In this case, there should be two winners or another way to decide between them.
