Can't edit my profile

Post by LARSSS » Sun Feb 24, 2013 2:23 pm

http://10fastfingers.com/competition/5128f3e6dd6c9

yay 162 WPM.
Quite proud of that.
As some of you noticed my records are on my profile, but since a few days I am not able to change my profile. Also it says that my goal is to win 500 competitions and I have passed that, can't edit that as well.
So I want to edit my current record of 160 WPM in english to 162 WPM but I am not able to, it won't save the settings. I am able to type it, to click on "save". But as soon as I go back to my profile it is not there. :(

I have also never been able to start my own competitions.. Not sure why. Is there a reason for it?

I just tried it and editing my profile description works fine, which browser are you using?

just tried again and didnt work.
I'm using internet explorer, but like a week ago it was fine when I set the goal to win 500 competitions, I could edit that in my profile. Now since 2-3 days I cant edit my profile anymore.

About not being able to start my own competition, that's for like 5 months now

Ah alright! There seems to be a few bugs with Internet Explorer, will see if I can fix them!!
Right now users seem to have the following problems using IE:
- badges on the profile page are not visible (maybe only in higher versions of IE)
- the background color for the top menu is black
- profile description can't be saved
- users can't create competitions

I will try to fix those issues today/tomorrow :)

Man, IE is such an awful browser:

the background color for the top menu is black

I can't fix this because IE9 is still not capable of transparent PNG24 (IE10 seems to be capable though).

users can't create competitions

I couldn't reproduce this error in IE9, which version of IE are you using?

profile description can't be saved

This works for me in IE10. Sadly I can't try it out in IE9 anymore, because after installing IE10, I was not able to install IE9 anymore.

My advice: Replace IE with a proper browser like Firefox or Chrome, both browsers work perfectly fine with 10FastFingers (and other sites) and I will always check those first when I develop a feature.

Mh.. not sure what it could be, it works fine on my end. Please Email/PM me the text you try to use as the description to my email and I will see if it might be because of that

Well, imagine if I only change the 160 into 162, won't work either.
But I can easily change browser if I urgently wanted to change it, just wanted to make you aware.
Thanks for responding and paying attention :)!

@Larsss: Does it work for you in another browser? If so in which one does/doesn't it work?
