There once was a cat, a very hungry cat. He sat and sat, sometimes on a mat, and thought about all the sweet treats he would like to eat. There would be fish, there would be chicken, there would be many things after which he would be paw-lickin'. He dreamed and dreamed - for a long time, it seemed - until one day he was swooped up into the air. Where, oh where could he be going? Turns out, a young kid who loved all things furry saw him sitting on the side of the curb and picked him up - in a hurry. "I'm going to call you Skint," he said with a slight tilt of his head and a hing of a squint. Little did he know that little this cat would no longer be, now that he had a home to belong in and someone to feed him his tea. Tea, or some may call it supper or dinner, would make this cat rotund, not the least bit thinner. Skint was possibly just a reminder of how far he'd come since those hungry days, always to say thanks for the blessing in his life always.
