Never before in the history of India was unemployment so acute as is today. It hangs like sword of Democies over our head and endangers the law and orders in the society. It is the hand made of corruption, for , there is no religion for empty belly. To this may be added "necessity knows no law" its nature assumes three typical form such employment in the field of education, agriculture & industrial unemployment. Lacs and crores of our people have fallen victim to this deadful gaint. It is growing grimly at our society.
There are several causes that account for the unemployment. Our country is more thickly populated than any other country in the world. Overpopulation has proved curse upon us, everymonth we have thousands of mouths to stands. Even today the same as introduced by Britishers. They were in dire need of clearks. So they set up institutions which could afford them clerks, so our institutions serve as factory of clerks only clerk. Consequently, lacs of graduates, thousands of engineers and post graduates so on & so forth have fallen victim to unemployment. The most defective form of our education system is that it lays stress on theoretical teaching. It has nothing to do with practical one and this is all and one reason when unemployment puts forth.
Defective and oriental methods of agriculture also cause unemployment. Our peasants are mostly uneducated & backward.
