Do you think about where you need to move your fingers to type the next word? Being able to touch type is so important and since I learnt it whilst I was in Year 7, it has been so beneficial to me. Now, I never think about how I am typing or it never even really occurs to me about thinking where a certain key is. My efficiency when it comes to computers has definitely increased by at least 75% now that I can touch type.
