There are many reasons to smoke marijuana, or to take LSD. Drugs produce the energy, the attention, the very ability to see what is. Those who take drugs produce new insights. One important part of the drug problem is that possession of them is illegal. It is an unenlightened law. The courts today are crowded with young offenders; tragically, many of them are from good homes. This trend has alarmed every responsible segment of the community. Freedom can be so jeopardized by politics that more realistic values and a meaningful, less materialistic society may never have the opportunity of becoming a reality.
