Once upon a time, there were three friends, their names were: "Most People", "Some People", and "Nobody". One day, the three set out on a journey to seek the Forever Fruit. The Forever Fruit is said to have magical effects upon consumption. It is said to be a large fruit, and with a single bite of its flesh, a wish can be fulfilled. "Most People" desired success in a particular investment and sought the Fruit for a bountiful income. "Some people" was deaf and had a lame leg, and wished for a healthy and strong body. "Nobody" was a feeble child of a family with an inherited disease that was thought to be incurable, and desired the fruit to cure his affected mother. The three set out determined to acquire the Fruit. The journey was long and difficult, and oftentimes, the weather and terrain did not favour them. On the way, they passed a fishing village. "Everybody" was confident that his friends would be able to acquire the Fruit and bring a portion back to him, so he chose to temporarily reside in an inn in the village and wait for their return. "Some People" and "Nobody" continued on in their journey. The expedition was arduous and after several weeks, "Some People" began to tire. The scarce rations left them both with constantly unsatisfied stomachs, and the mountainous terrain was onerous to traverse. It was on the fourth week that "Some People" reached his limit and gave up from exhaustion and hunger. However, "Nobody" persevered. "Nobody" understood that his mother's life rode on whether or not he succeeded and pushed on at all costs. When his weak legs could no longer support his shuddering body, he crawled an dragged himself onward. When his numbed brain could no longer differentiate between east and west he persisted in the direction his heart told him. Finally, he found the Forever Fruit. It was a large, bulbous, purple skinned fruit, nesting in the cradle of leafy branches upon an enormous tree. Upon his arrival the Fruit fell, and landed as lightly as a feather before him despite it's incredible size. "Nobody" lunged for the fruit and took a bite, whilst making his wish. Then he leaned against it's skin and fell asleep. A few days later he carried the remaining of the fruit back to his friends and reunited with his now healthy and recuperate mother. "Most People" and "Some people" each eagerly took large bites of the Fruit however there was no effect. Disappointed, they were both drowned remorse for their decisions.
