During freedom struggle, freedom fighters hope that after freedom being achieved, India shall be all round prosperous country, having all, lacking nothing if anything. But their hopes were all over dupes and dreams false. Freedom came but with what problems. Hardly a problems finds its solution, when other crops. We have problems here and there. The country is rest with problems on all sides but of all unemployment problem is much the worst that demands it solution first. Never before in the history of India was unemployment so acute as is today. It hangs like sword of Damocles over our head and endangers the law and orders in the society. It is the hand made of corruption, for, there is no religion for empty belly. To this may be added "necessity knows no law" its nature assumes three typical forms such unemployment in the field of education, agriculture & industrial unemployment. Lakhs and crores of our people have fallen victim to this dreadful giant. It is growing grimly at our society. There are several causes that account for the unemployment. Our country is more thickly populated than any other country in the world. Overpopulation has proved curse upon us, every month we have thousands of mouths to stands. Even today the same as was introduced by Britishers. They were in dire need of clerks. So they set up institutions which could afford them clerks, so our institutions serve as factory of clerks only clerk. Consequently, lakhs of graduates, thousands of engineers and post graduates so on & so forth have fallen victim to unemployment. The most defective form of our education system is that it lays stress on theoretical teaching. It has nothing to do with practical one and this is all and one reason when unemployment puts forth. Defective and oriental methods of agriculture also cause unemployment. Our peasants are mostly uneducated & backward. Giant machines have been put to use and they can do the work more that is expected of thousand of men. This being so, thousand of labourers are victimised to unemployment. More over capitalism plays an important role in the organization of the Industry Capitalists want labourers as much the cheapest wages and thus cause unemployment. Our population should be checked up through family welfare. Education system should be overhauled & stress be laid on practical teaching. Farmers should be familiarized with scientific instruments. Industries should be state owned, Capitalistic system of organization should be replaced by that of socialistic pattern. Small scale industries & cottage industries should be encouraged to provide more jobs for more hands. State government is trying its best to end unemployment within ten years. May it succeed.
