Scott tried to push himself to his feet but found himself leaning on his weak arm, causing him to collapse to the floor again. He reached up with his right arm and grabbed the edge of a seat, pulling himself up before the man could make a move. As the man continued his crawl towards the gun Scott ran over to him and kicked him in the face, knocking him onto his back far away from the gun. Scott picked up and primed the gun and pointed it at the man, who was now stumbling to his feet.
As the man finished standing Scott could swear there was a hint of a grin in his mouth. His eyes were still focused and steely, and there was no visible fear in his stance. He stood tall, and raised his hands, in a sign of surrender.
Scott noticed something in his hand.
Scott took the shot but took it too late. He fired a single shot into the man's centre of mass but it wasn't enough to stop him. Before he even hit the floor the man had pulled the trigger on the detonator in his hand. Immediately Scott felt and heard an explosion from one of the engines, and listened helplessly as it sputtered before going silent. Slowly the plane began to tilt, and Scott lost his balance, falling to the floor and messily sliding into the wall, landing on his bad shoulder. The plane continued to tilt until it was almost at a right angle to what it was originally, and for a moment everything was fairly still, save for a little turbulence.
But then the plane began to dip forward, unable to keep itself up on a single engine, sending Scott tumbling towards the front end of the plane. He rolled past Hannah's body and into the cockpit, suspended in mid-air for a moment as the plane tilted further before crashing into the glass of the cockpit. He heard it crack and lay still for a moment, not wanting to risk any sudden movements. He had to move however, as he saw the co-pilot's body hurtling towards him, which crashed through the weakened window as he rolled to the side.
