Also whenever there was war, not more than a few hundred persons were killed or wounded on either side. As civilization strengthened, wars became more an more horrible. With the advance of science, gun powder was discovered. This gave rise to the use of guns and cannos in the war. Further, with the invention of airplane, the movement of soldiers became now taking a heavy toll of life and property. Modern era of science has made things even word. Today, man is equipped with dangerous weapons of destruction. He can cause large scale deaths and devastation.
