Kochi: The Kerala High Court has banned all the debates and discussions on media realating to the bar bribery scam. it has directed the police not to release any information regarding the investigation in the case. It also registered the disapproval of the leak of information regarding the probe. At the same time, the Vigilance have informed the court about the investigation being conducted in regard of the leak.
The details of the case submitted by the investigation team in a sealed cover at the court was leaked. The information that there exists no evidence against KM Mani in the scam was disclosed. This initiated the court to intervene in the matter and ban media discussion on the same. It is observed that the discussions will adversely affect the proceedings of the case.
After the advocate informed about the investigation on the leak, the court did not further commet on the mater, but warned not to repeat it.
The Vigilance had submitted the report the other day. It it said that no scientific or cisrcumstantial evidence exist against KM Mani in the case.
The High Court has granted 45 days time to the Vigilance team to complete the investigation and submit the final report.
