One day in the spring season King Parajit took his queens to show the beauty of one of his gardens. The garden had a tank in which lotus flowers were floating. He plucked a lotus flower and gave it to one of his queens. By chance the flower fell on the foot of the queen and hurt it. The king ordered that she should be carefully treated. That very night the beams of the rising moon fell on the second queen and burnt her skin. Next morning, the sound of threshing of rice struck the ears of the third queen, and she fainted.
