Just started sixth form recently, that's cool I guess. I had to go to a different school today for a Computer Science lesson as they don't do it at my home school. It was a double lesson which dragged it out a bit and plus everyone in my class has low grades so it was kinda slow. That's not to say I'm a genius coder or anything as I did feel like I have loads to learn. The thing is, the lesson wasn't structured in a way that taught us more code but rather was doing what we already knew and then comparing it to how the teacher, Mr Richards, did it. However, he also said that it didn't matter if you did it in a different way. This made it boring as it felt like I did it quite easily whereas he kinda over complicated it. I wish we just learned different syntax and ways to do new things and that, not the way we did it. It was just an introduction lesson, however, so maybe it won't be too bad next time. Another thing that bothered me was the way the classroom was set out. It was made so all the computers faced the walls, circling the small classroom and with a table and chairs in the middle. I think the intention was so that the teacher could always see what was on each student's computer at any given time, as to stop people from being on things they shouldn't be and to also help the student easier. I just didn't like it as I felt like I was being judged and convinced me that future lessons would also be structured in the same way as this one, you know, with the whole one to one thing.
