God is one. One may call Him Ram, Krishan, Vaheguru, Christ or Allaha. One should have firm faith in Him. It is He who controls this universe. Nothing can happen without His wish. Similarly, teachings of all the religions are almost the same, only the fools quarrel in the name of religion, caste and creed. One should love mankind. By doing so, he will be serving the Almighty. We must never lose faith in God, in ourself, or in humanity; for in this three-fold lies the secret of all strength and all higher think attainment. Whatever we think we become; if we constantly think ourselves insignificant and worthless, we shall become that. Man must possess faith in himself, but not in an egotistical sense - not as a person with a certain name and form. Born in such a family and with a certain position in his community. It is in his higher self that he must have faith in himself as child of God, a direct heir to Divinity. He must base his faith on that soul power within, which nothing can daunt. Then when he has learned to have faith in his own soul, he will begin to have faith in God, for we cannot have trust in one without having trust in other. Have faith in yourself, in your vocation and in the Divine. A man who has lost faith in himself is helpless; no one can help him and he goes to his ruin.
Man claims to be, and is certainly the noblest creation of God. When God created other creatures, He did not feel satisfied but when He created man, He said to himself "Well done", so says the Upanishad. Wherein lies this unique greatness of man. Taking his body of flesh, blood and bone, there is nothing at all to boast of. His skin is unfit even for making shoes. The skins of the sheep furnish useful leather and the skins of the deer and even the tiger are considered pure enough to sit upon for doing japa. The hair on the body of the sheep is useful for making shawls and other woolen clothes. The human hair is very impure and if one touches it, he has to wash his hands. What is there in the body of man of which he can be really proud. Is his physical beauty a matter of pride, we have seen peacock, parrots, even lions and tigers, considered as obnjects of beauty but no man or woman is kept anywhere as a proper object of sight-seeing. Can he boast of this strength. Most animals are stronger than he is. If his eyes see far, the vulture sees farther. If his ears are sharp the serpent's ear are sharper; it is even said that they have no ears and yet hear through their eyes themselves. If his nose is sensitive, the dog's nose is certinly more sensitive. he has no reason therefore to be proud of his faculties. If he is content to equate himself with the body the senses or the mind he is no way better than an animal. he is no doubt an animal himself.
