Speed
Right now I am avoiding work despite impending deadlines. It's funny how I understand that if I simply do this work, I would be able enjoy the activities I indulge in right now, but free of guilt. Yet I refuse to do so. I like to think that I am brave, courageous and rebellious. I like to live on the edge. I like the sense of urgency. It is my driving force that pushes me to complete my tasks. After all, is it not an incredible feat to finish what others would take three days to do, within a single hour? Is it not refreshing to be a hair within the time constraints, click 'submit' on 11:59 when the deadline is 12:00?
I will do anything to avoid work. I will clean my room. I will wash the dishes. I will organise the files in my 'downloads' folder. I will practise my typing speed, because, you know, typing speed is important when speed and efficiency is of utmost importance to completing assignments on time. That's what I tell myself.
