Subject: Wanted to say Great Job with the New Park on
Stadium Drive
Dear City Planner,
My name is Carol, and I am a resident of Oakland County.
I attended the public meeting on the Stadium Drive
improvement project last week. I just want to say that I'm
really happy. When I first saw the advertisement for a new
brain clinic being built by that local doctor, who focuses
on the theories of the famous psychologist, Sigmund
Freud, I was worried. My understanding was that the
empty land was going to be used for businesses only.
Anyway, imagine my relief when I found out that you're
planning to build a new park, too.
The park is a great idea, and I know that mentally, it will
have a positive impact on city residents. It seems like the
city always chooses to develop land for business and not
for residents. It will be nice to finally have a park where
we can exercise, walk our dogs, or just relax and spend
time with family. To be honest, my knowledge of space
and design is quite limited, but the park plan that uses
solar-powered lighting and benches made out of recycled
milk jugs, which you discussed at the meeting, shows the
designer's modern vision. I especially like the indoor
flower garden. This will allow us to enjoy the park yearround, despite the huge change in temperature that we
experience between summer and winter.
By the way, I know that you're putting in the outdoor gym
as a trial, but I think the reliability of exercise equipment
will be effective in improving the overall health of local
residents, and so the gym should be a part of the park
forever. I just hope you make sure everything is working
safely, since there will probably be a lot of children using
the equipment as a playground.
Anyway, I just wanted to say, great job! I am really
looking forward to the new park
