Hello everyone, my nick name is Ron and I am a 21 year old Computer Science and Engineering student from India. I have been practicing typing for a month now and I am now able to reach speeds of 70 wpm on average. My highest so far was 78 wpm. Before learning to touch type, I used to look at my keyboard the whole time when ever I typed something, and when I took my first typing test without looking at it, my speed was barely 20 wpm. I felt really bad when I found out that the average typing speed in the world was somewhere around 45 wpm. Since then I practiced typing without looking and slowly I was able to see improvement and here I am today, well over the average. I'm so glad I learned this skill because its just so satisfying to type at this speed. It feels like you aren't paying attention to your keyboard anymore, your brain just does all the work for you as you read through the words on the monitor. And the clicking of keys is just so beautiful to hear! I think learning to touch type has also improved the speed at which I read sentences. Hopefully I'll reach 100 wpm someday!
