In the small, uninhabited town of Endsville, there stood a statue of copper; oxidized from side to side, setting the scene of the dilapidated town. The statue stood alone admiring what was once a flourishing town, hoping for it to be put back to use. Years passed by, until one day when a bus approached the last bus stop. Endsville was the last stop with no way back; a single man got out of the bus and started to tread through the untreated plains which made up the void. The man had reached the city as the statue waited to see what would happen. The man who looked as old as the statue, approached it and read the plaque out loud "Endsville, where ends don't always meet". The man chuckled and began to walk in the other direction, returning the city back to its abandoned state. Despair soon incapsulated the statue as he thought, what would happen "Why is this man here? Will he repair the city?". These thoughts quickly faded to the realization that he was just a visitor. As the statue stood contemplating about the future of the city, in the distance he heard a faint noise of people talking. It was so faint he didn't notice it at first, but as it grew louder, he also heard the noise of machinery. Soon he saw a group of construction workers and a paver hit the last stop which was the end of the line, conjoining the two. Days passed as more and more people visited the town on the new roadway. Before the statue knew it, the town was back to normal, in a happy state.
Moral of the story is don't loose hope if something doesn't happen once. Example is how it says when ends don't always meet, but this time they did quite literally with the end of the roads meeting.
