Social media is a tool that is becoming quite popular these days because of its user-friendly features. Now social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, tiktok, are well known around the world with more then 5 billion users worldwide. There are many good things about social media like sharing content and thoughts, meeting new people, checking in with people that you know and many more. But there are many bad things about social media as well. In social media you can do a lot of bad things because you can become anonymous so people tent to do a lot of negative things like hate comments and trying to bring down others and scams and false business things. Even thought there is some bad things social media is mostly a valuable resource we are lucky to have.
If we need answers or others opinion on something we can as the internet for help on pages like reddit or Facebook. If you need to buy or sell something you can also go to the internet and use Ebay or Amazon. And if you need to learn a new skill or know some information you can use something like YouTube or skillshare so as you can see there is a lot of good uses for social media.
And now something important that social media does is that currently because of the corona virus situation we can’t attend school or work so thanks to platforms like zoom, google meet and discord we can get our education and work done. Some people say social media is totally unnecessary and useless but I don’t agree. we can learn almost anything using the internet and social media. And you can talk and get to know people from across the world and be friends. And like I wrote earlier we can have online classes to work and learn. So, if we didn’t have the internet and social media the world would be much different.
