The Odyssey is a Greek poem written by Homer about a soldier in the Trojan war named Odysseus who was returning from the ruins of Troy to his homeland Ithaca, which he is the king of, and Penelope, his wife. However, he ended up on the island of the cyclops, and put Polyphemus, one of the cyclops' there, to sleep and stabbed him in the eye with a sword on fire, and then Polyphemus cursed Odysseus, so it sent him on a journey filled with Poseidon, Laestrygonian giants, Circe, oracles in the land of the dead, Sirens, Scylla, Charybdis, Helios' cattle, and Poseidon again. He then goes back to Ithaca, disguised as an old beggar, he went back to his kingdom, sneaked in, killed his suitors (who they all wanted to have Penelope) and then came back to his wife and his son, Telemachus, who was born right before he went to the war, who was now 10 years old.
