I would like to express my concern about the growing problem of child abuse in our country. It is disappointing to see the children in our country are being subjected to different forms of abuse such as physical, emotional and sexual. Children aren't safe anywhere and the worst part is that most of the abusers are family, friends or relatives. Children keep quiet out of fear or guilt and this has a detrimental effect on their overall growth. Children who have been abused may turn off out to be bullies who get violent very soon.
As a society, it becomes our duty to fight this problem and make our children aware about the same. Schools, teachers and parents need to play their roles. Children need to be provided with such an atmosphere that they feel free to play their roles. Children need to be provided with such an atmosphere that they free to share their concerns. They need to be taught the concept of good and bad touch in order to safeguard them from sexual abuse.
Special workshops can be conducted at school to acquaint the children about the problem and help them upon up.
We need to understand the fact that children are the future of our country and by providing them a holistic development we are safeguarding our future.
