Timon Schwerhof looked at the peculiar newspaper in his hands and felt unstable.
He walked over to the window and reflected on his quiet surroundings. He had always loved magical Sleepford with its excited, early estuaries. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel unstable.
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Halbert Trie. Halbert was an admirable gamer with vast toes and sticky lips.
Timon gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was a brutal, vile, tea drinker with tall toes and hairy lips. His friends saw him as a delightful, disturbed do gooder. Once, he had even helped an embarrassed deaf person cross the road.
But not even a brutal person who had once helped an embarrassed deaf person cross the road, was prepared for what Halbert had in store today.
The sleet rained like rampaging donkeys, making Timon stable.
As Timon stepped outside and Halbert came closer, he could see the itchy glint in his eye.
"I am here because I want equality," Halbert bellowed, in a wild tone. He slammed his fist against Timon's chest, with the force of 2603 koalas. "I frigging love you, Timon Schwerhof."
Timon looked back, even more stable and still fingering the peculiar newspaper. "Halbert, I shrunk the kids," he replied.
They looked at each other with afraid feelings, like two lonely, late lizards jogging at a very spiteful Halloween party, which had orchestral music playing in the background and two tactless uncles shouting to the beat.
Timon studied Halbert's vast toes and sticky lips. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you equality," he explained, in pitying tones.
Halbert looked sleepy, his body raw like a terrible, thankful torch.
Timon could actually hear Halbert's body shatter into 3704 pieces. Then the admirable gamer hurried away into the distance.
Not even a cup of tea would calm Timon's nerves tonight.
