Necessity is the mother of invention
The proverbs ‘Necessity is the mother of invention” means to say that all inventions are the result of man’s keen necessity. People have invented new things because they felt that they must have things to live a better, a comfortable life.
People saw that the primitive mode of life and use of primitive things were not at all satisfactory.
An example will show how the people’s sense of necessity, their hunger for better life lead them to invent new things. The people at first made fire by rubbing two pieces of hard flint, the process was both cumbrous and crude. The people therefore found out the use of matches and finally they could invent electricity. The same feelings in them will account for their invention in the field of transport, communication and technological inventions such as electricity, the internet, laptops, computers and smart phones have been a boon for the society. All these have led to the evolution of the mankind at a rapid pace. Thanks to the smart ideas and the technological innovations because of them the world has actually shrunk (reduce in size). We have transcended (go beyond, go above) the geographical boundaries and are virtually connected with each other all the time. In many cases, a single idea has given way to a string (thread) of connected ideas. Internet provided a platform to the social media, which has become an important marketing tool in today’s time.
Modern age is prominently an age of science. Our life, almost at every step, is regulated by the gifts of science. All these gifts are possible only because of people felt their wants multiplying.
Necessity as the part of people will be called the first incentive to civilization and advancement of life.
