Mrs. Chaya Devi Ramayanam popularly known as Nightingale of twin cities is a renowed singer both in India and US. She has lilting tone and mellifluous voice. She had a very successful career as a Karnatik Musi Singer and also light music singer. She has been a disciple of Guru Garimella Narasimha Rao and Shri Akella Malikharjuna Sarma. She has been A Grade artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan Television. She is a postgraduate in Sanskrit with diploma in Karnatik Music and well trained in Teachers Training Course and Mass Media Course in Communication. As Principal of Sathya Jyothi Music and Dance Academy, she trained several hundreds of students over more than two decades, She continues her creative pursuit of music through experimental and innovative compositions as Music Director. She is an artiste par excellence with about 1000 concerts to her credit. She is the winner of several medals and awards, with the national award from All India Radio in light music as the feather in her cap, way back in 1974. She has about 38 devotional albums to her pride as a music director-cum-singer. She performed in the holy presence of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peethandhipathis Sri Sri Chandra Sekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamy, Sri Sri Bharathi Theertha Maha Swamy, Bhagavan Shri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthy and several other spiritual gurus and in several temples in India and US. She accompanied Shri Mangalampally Balamurali Krishna, Nedunuri Krishna Murthy, Raj Kumar Kannada and Shri Jesudas and film singers like S. Janaki and S.P. on stage concerts. rEcently she composed and presented Valmiki Ramayanam, Bala Kanda 100 slokas in Sanskrit on Tirumala hills during a live telecast by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel program Naada Neerajanam. She is one of the best script writers in music with scientific approach whose script Nadopasana was adjudged as the national best entry. She produced several TV serials such as Tanseen, Jeevana Ragam and scripted Sur in Hindi. She has travelled extensively with innumerable concerts all over India, USA TANA 1993 and European Telugu Association 1997, Vienna, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and other countries.
