Jenna is a 25 year old female with no significant previous medical history who presents to the emergency department for evaluation of constant sharp right lower quadrant abdominal pain. She reports that her symptoms began spontaneously 4 hours prior to arrival and gradually worsened. She stated that her pain was worse when her car was going over bumps on the way to the hospital. She currently rates her pain as a 10/10 in severity. She does not know any of alleviate factors. She has associated symptoms of nausea and diaphoresis. The patient denies associated symptoms of fever, diarrhea, vomiting, or headache. She denies any previous surgical history. She does not have any other complaints at this time.
