We do not wait for a game the way we wait for most things.
We wait with the years we lost.
When the pre-order page finally appeared, I did not think first about cars, guns, or a brighter city.
I thought about the friends who once sat beside me after school, passing the controller like it was a key to another life. Back then, tomorrow felt endless.
Now some of us have children, bills, quiet jobs, and names we no longer call.
Maybe that is why this new city feels so heavy before we even enter it.
It is not only a game coming back.
It is the sound of a younger version of us starting the engine again, asking if we still remember how to run without looking at the clock.
