Patient is a 32 yr. old male, lives alone. Hx: snake bite. Arrival in ER: patient was brought into the emergency room by ambulance following a snake bite. Two puncture wounds near the ankle of the leg. Swelling and redness around the puncture wounds. Patient mentioned he felt pain at the bite site. He had difficulty breathing., didn't vomit, didn't feel nauseous Vision was a bit blurred. A vague numbness in the face and limbs. Patient arrived in the ER one hour and a half after he was bitten by the snake. The attending doctor administered Croatlidae polyvalent immune FAB . The antivenom successfully neutralized the toxins from the snake bite. The patient remained in the hospital for observation for 24h and his BP and overall health was monitored. No Iv was administered.
