New York City was unusually quiet on the evening of 18 October. Peter Parker had just finished his classes when his phone rang. A worried voice said, "Spider-Man, we need your help. Something strange is happening near the old bridge!"
Without wasting a second, Peter put on his red-and-blue suit and swung across the city. Cars were stopped, people were running, and a thick cloud of smoke covered the streets. As he landed on the bridge, he saw a powerful machine counting down: **10, 9, 8...**
"Who built this?" Peter asked.
A mysterious man stepped out of the shadows and replied, "Tonight, the city will belong to me."
Spider-Man fired a web, but the villain easily dodged it. The battle became faster and more dangerous with every second. Peter jumped over broken cars, climbed steel beams, and used every trick he knew. Finally, he noticed one small cable connected to the machine.
"If I cut that wire, it might stop everything," he whispered.
With only **3 seconds** left, Spider-Man aimed carefully, fired one final web, and pulled the cable free. The machine shut down instantly. The bridge became silent, and the people around him began to cheer.
An old woman smiled and said, "Thank you, Spider-Man. You saved us again."
Peter looked at the city lights and quietly replied, "A hero isn't measured by power; a hero is measured by the choices he makes."
As the sun began to rise, Spider-Man swung into the sky once more, ready for whatever challenge tomorrow would bring.
