The Information Technology & Information Technology Enabled Services, also referred to as IT-ITeS is a sector which has been skyrocketed in the last few years. The role of IT sector cannot be underestimated when it comes to improving the shape of Indian business standards. Many business processes including business process outsourcing (BPO), online services, software management, consultancies and software development are a part of this sector. As per an article published in The Times of India, the IT industry has played a crucial role in spreading the awareness of the Indias liberalization among people and telling them how important it is for their future. Dating back to 1990s, an export of approximately $100 million with around 5,000 employees had been noticed. However, with the passing time, things in the sector have been improved. And, as a result, the countrys IT exports are now touching the numbers of &70 billion with the involvement of 2.8 million employees. National Association of Software and Services companies (NASSCOM), also known as the Indias software industry body, says that the Indias IT sector is expected to witness the growth at a rate of 12-14% during the time period 2016-2017. With this result, it would not be wrong to say that Indias IT industry has now evolved as one of the fastest emerging markets and very soon many more requirements in the field of software, hardware and other IT service can be expected to rise. The continued improvement in the domestic IT sector, conducive business environment , operational excellence, creation of urban infrastructure and abundant talent are the five major factors which actually decide the Indias position in the global offshore IT industry. There could be no denying to this fact that the global market and sustenance of its growth are the most crucial factors which have influenced the IT industry to a great extent. The IT community in the country has also witnessed some downfall due to the recession in the United States. the employment the computer and IT industry generates in seen as one of the biggest benefits. Export and Foreign Direct Investments are other crucial benefits. The presence of new markets in the South and South East Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and middle East has been noticed in the recent times. many big countries across the globe consider India as a hub for IT outsourcing solutions. A wide number of job opportunities in the field have been produced and helped many people to gain advantage of serving the IT sector with their skills and knowledge. Experts say that the country has created a solid platform to overtake the USA when it comes to hiring a good number of software developers in the coming year.
