Schools in the district have the capacity to connect to the internet. However, with this opportunity comes the responsibility for appropriate use.  The fundamental goal of the network is to provide jackson county students and educators with equal access to computing resources which serve public education. The internet serves as an electronic highway connecting thousands of computers all over the world and millions of individual subscribers. Worldwide electronic mail services, global information and news, as well as the opportunity to correspond with other institutions, public domain and shareware computers software of all types, discussion groups on a plethora of topics ranging from Chinese cultures, to the environment, to music, to politics.  Because class, race, ability, and disability are removed as communication factors or barriers, the Internet is a natural tool for addressing the needs of all students.
