I'm a recovering Dvorak typer. 80 WPM in Dvorak was so boring, but QWERTY feels action packed. To type faster after 60 WPM, do like a 10:2 ratio of advanced typing tests to regular typing tests. The big words are the ones that are slowing you down, not the small ones. The advanced typing test teaches you to type the big words fast and accurately. Do like 50 typing tests per day over multiple sessions and run your hands under hot water for a couple minutes before each session to loosen up your fingers and get out soreness from typing a lot. So... I'm getting the Topre R2 55g and R2 45g Silent next month for like $500, and I'll compare them next month to my current keyboard setup. For now, some things I love about my current keyboard setup—I was using a Corsair K70, but the Strafe is quieter, a little bigger and tougher looking, and much heavier than the K70. The Corsair PBT keycaps feel more stable and gave me a boost of like 5 WPM after I hit 80 WPM. The Castle Company's Bailey Genuine Leather Wrist Rest is really comfortable when it breaks in, looks amazing, and will last hundreds of years of typing. It's also shallow enough that you'll actually use it as a palm rest and not accidentally grind your carpal bones (bottom of wrists) into the rest. I don't recommend the floating hand method. This is obviously harder on your wrists than working from a base of support at your palms, but don't elevate the back of your keyboard, or you'll grind your carpals at the angle within your wrists. For improving accuracy, do the following using a Windows PC until you can type without almost any mistakes: 1) download AutoHotkey 2) open a text editor like Notepad 3) put the following texts inside the text file: backspace::send,{ctrl down}{backspace down}{ctrl up}{backspace up} 4) save the text file with the file name I-WILL-HAVE-TO-RETYPE-ALL-MY-MISTYPED-WORDS.ahk 5) go to the directory where you saved the file 6) double click on the file 7) practice correcting wrong words that turn red while you're typing without looking at your keyboard until you get them correct.
