The cartoon has always been an important part of my lifestyle during childhood. I always used to connect myself with the cartoon characters. It is notonly me who loved cartoons this much. There are lots of younger people across the world who loves this illustration work. They personally love thefact that cartoons are stress relievers. The cartoon series not only meant to entertain us but they play a very important role in teaching. We have alsoseen that nowadays small kids are learning through cartoon animation. They find it very interesting and entertaining at the same time. I have a longlist of my favourite cartoons but I will share my top favourite cartoon series. Therefore here are some of my favourite cartoon characters and series. Iwould like to thank the creators of this sensational cartoon Show Tom and Jerry. This show has a special place in my heart. It will be a lie if someonesays that they do not like Tom and Jerry. Well talking about the storyline of the show so Tom is the name of the pet of the house owner and in thathouse there is a mouse called Jerry. Jerry is my favourite character. I find him cute. It has always been about the fight between Tom and Jerry. Jerryused to steal something and Tom tries to catch him. Jerry is very naughty and provoking. He always irritates Tom. I loved to watch them fighting.Apart from that they have symbolized the true meaning of friendship. When it comes to the common task they have done it very significantly. I amsure that Tom and Jerry are the favourite cartoons of every age group. It is one of the most successful cartoon shows. It still has a huge fan base andmost of the people including me still like this funniest show. Doraemon is my second favourite cartoon show. He is a cat robot who has superpowers.He lives at house of Nobita. Nobita is a very lazy character but innocent. He always gets himself in trouble and whenever he is in trouble andDoraemon will be there to help him. Nobita has a female friend named Shizuka. Nobita has several enemies too Suniyo and Jian. They are best friendsbut still bully Nobita. They always put Nobita in trouble and make him feel embarrassed in front of Shizuka. But Doraemon always comes to help him.By using his superpower and gadgets and he teaches a lesson to Suniyo and Jian. Also Jian is a very bad singer. He always irritates people by singingsongs. Doraemon loves Nobita and Doraemon always helps Nobita in his homework. After all they are cartoon characters and we need to see them forentertainment purposes only. Doraemon teaches lots of positive lessons like Nobita to have Doraemon but we do not. So we should not wait forDoraemon to come and help us. We should do it by ourselves. Another lesson which the show Doraemon teaches is that we should not bully someone.These are the reasons why I love Doraemon. I am sure many younger generation kids love this show. Life is not always fair. These shows are verypopular among children. They made us laugh every time and taught us important lessons.
Big cats are among the most widespread top predators on Earth. Lions stalk zebra in the African savanna tigers ambush antelope in the forests of Asiaand jaguars hunt deer in the jungles of South America. They play a very important role in ecosystems by regulating the numbers of these herbivoresin turn reducing the deterioration of vegetated habitats and maintaining species diversity altogether. Tigers lions and jaguars must cover large areasto find food so they need a lot of energy. As with many large carnivores big cats are under threat from habitat loss which leaves them with less to eat.Their spread out populations and slow reproductive rates make them particularly vulnerable. While the habitats in which big cats live range fromboreal forests at high latitudes to tropical rainforests at the equator the causes of habitat loss are largely the same. Some of them are logging for woodand fuel plantations and urbanisation. Aside from depriving wildlife of a home forest loss also contributes to climate change. It is ironic then thathydroelectricity which is being developed worldwide especially in South American and Asian countries as an alternative energy source to fossil fuels isa big cause of deforestation also. Building hydroelectric dams has caused extinctions and spread diseases in rivers globally but the threat to ecosystemson land has largely been overlooked. In a recent study researchers from China and Portugal investigated how existing and planned hydroelectric damsmight affect two carnivores the near threatened jaguar and the endangered tiger. The distribution of jaguars and tigers has shrunk considerably butthe researchers found that hydroelectric plants pose a substantial risk of further declines. They found more than hundred dams that already intersectthe jaguar range and other dams that do the same for tigers. This equates to one in five tigers that are likely to be affected by dams compared with onein two hundred jaguars. Since tiger numbers are already so low this could have a considerable influence on the capacity of population to recover andmay even result in local extinctions. Large expanses of land are flooded to create reservoirs when building hydroelectric plants in low lying relativelyflat areas. Although tigers and jaguars can and do swim they mainly hunt species such as deer that live on land. Sites chosen for dams typicallyincorporate floodplains and areas along rivers that are important for both species since they tend to contain lots of prey. The flooded area will forceboth predators and prey into surrounding areas. If the vegetation here can support the influx of herbivores tigers and jaguars will probably persist.But if it cannot the predators may be forced further afield in search of food potentially drawing them into conflict with people who may kill them.Relatively pristine habitats are under threat. The number of hydroelectric dams is set to quadruple across the range of jaguar where tigers roam.Aside from the direct loss of habitat these new constructions can also increase the presence of people in remote areas. Roads built to access new dam sites consequently open up areas that were previously impenetrable. Roads can be a barrier to some species and kill those that try to cross. Roads canalso encourage new towns and villages which divide the habitat further.
