Best typist in each language

Post by Linsk » Sat Dec 29, 2012 6:32 pm

Hi fast and furious typists,

This topic is intented to identify those who recorded the highest score in each of the 54 languages available on 10FF, in normal, advanced and competition modes. This list needs to be completed and updated. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance. ;)

Of course, are supposed to be listed only legit typists. Since cheating is common on 10FF (despite the anti-cheat system), it is strongly recommended to be VERIFIED by a video in order to be definitely considered legit by the typing community.

This video should respect the following points:
- show your whole screen
- show you logged in to your 10FF account (avatar and username)
- show both of your hands on your keyboard
- reload the test before starting
- have the sound of your keyboard clearly audible (sufficient volume, without noise and without music)
- good video quality (I don't ask for HD, simply an exploitable video, at least readable in full screen mode)
- no lag of course
- the maximum tolerance is 10 words below your highscore (example: at least 190 WPM to certify a record of 200 WPM)

All this is to confirm the synchronicity between your typing and what is actually happening on your screen, to finally verify that your abilities are real and your record believable. So any suspicious or insufficiently solid video will be ignored. Thank you for your understanding and happy scores smashing! :)

__________________________________________________

I'm sorry for Asian typists but I have to put these languages on the sidelines because their current system of calculation counts 5 keystrokes for each ideogram, what greatly inflates the scores. So the speed shown in WPM / CPM is artificial. But the number of typed words is real.

224 WPM - 1122 CPM - 89 typed words [Traditional Chinese] Sunyanzi β‡’ screenshot
206 WPM - 1028 CPM - 84 typed words [Simplified Chinese] Sunyanzi β‡’ screenshot

πŸ† COMPETITION high score πŸ†

β‡’ Waiting for high scores in all other languages.

218 WPM - 1092 CPM [French] HeavenBlades β‡’ competition | VERIFIED β‡’ video
213 WPM - 1066 CPM [English] Taran β‡’ competition

114 WPM - 568 CPM [Azerbaijani] Linsk β‡’ competition | VERIFIED β‡’ video

79 WPM - 393 CPM [Albanian] kamen rider fan 2 β‡’ competition | VERIFIED β‡’ video

* Japanese scores are inflated on 10FF because each ideogram is counted as 5 keystrokes. The average length of Japanese words on 10FF is 7.56 keystrokes (spaces and entries included) so to get a realistic equivalence of the CPM score, we multiply the number of words actually typed by 7.56.

Really really strange..
If it's legit then.. he's the fastest typist in the world I guess?
Nobody reached 210 WPM on this website, even Sean Wrona, and this guy got 239, and called his vid "about 200 WPM"?
And if he was that good, he would make an account and try to beat some records, and would be known on other websites.
I'd like to see his full screen + keyboard sound, because the typing area seems legit to me.
He has a chinese ad on his screen though, if he's Asian he's probably legit.

It goes so fast that we must freeze the frame to see the errors and corrections. xD Probably someone who knows the way to slow down the countdown and then has accelerated his video to have normal seconds. Some have already been banned for doing that.

Albanian and Dutch updated. ;)

3 languages added:
- Filipino: 127 WPM;
- Lithuanian: 122 WPM;
- Russian: 120 WPM.

Now I think it's time to open a topic on typing tips. ^^

@sidm: Well, actually the first time I used 10FF, before my registration, I typed a maximum of about 50 words. It was on the old version of the site and the score just gave the number of words really typed (not CPM divided by 5). In French, 50 words was roughly 400 CPM, so 90 CPM.
I went from 90 to 130 WPM in a month by typing every day until knowing all the words in the bank. For difficult words, I trained to type them in loop in a text editor, slowly at first to acquire the right move and then faster and faster until I no longer make any mistakes. But even if it's quite easy for me to type fast, I still have much to learn about accuracy.
I have no website or tutorial to suggest you as I've never used any of them to learn typing. I type as it comes, I don't know the standard typing.

EDIT: Oops, just realised the record was 152 WPM and not 151 WPM.. :P Got 152 WPM three times and I probably beat his record with keystrokes though..

Finnish and Malaysian updated.

I don't know how many keystrokes did Ougaa (from now I'll be careful at this point) but there's room for two so I put you both. ;)

Edit:

Czech updated.
