Friendship between two persons is based on common thinking, mutual love and selflessness. Without these three basic essentials, true friendship cannot exist at all. A friend in need is a friend indeed. True friends stand by each other through thick and thin, false friends, on the other hand, fall off in adversity. They come to you when your purse is full and disappear when you fall on bad days. So, one must be very careful and judicious in selecting one’s friends. I have large numbers of friends, but Lara is my best friend of them all. Gentle, lovable and sincere, Lara comes of a respectable family. Her father is a leading doctor of our town. She is a girl with rare qualities and a pleasing personality. He has some very remarkable traits which attract anybody and everybody who comes in contact with her. The time that I spend in her company is so pleasant and meaningful that I cannot help feeling proud of my closest friend, Lara. Lara is a tall and slim girl. She has a proportionate figure and a fair complexion. In fact, she is figure-conscious and so practices yoga every morning. She is always in a clean dress and puts on a smile on lips. She is very intelligent as well. She is one of the best students in our class and always scores very good marks in the examinations. Our teachers have a high opinion of her. They praise her and love her very much. Everybody is sure that she will show a meritorious result in the Board Examination. My friend Lara has a number of qualities of heart also. She is noble, kind, sympathetic and generous. She cannot see anybody in trouble. At once, she is moved with pity and comes to the help of the person in trouble. She has a very pleasant nature. Failure in anything is not acceptable to her. She knows how to change it into a success. She is never jealous of anyone. Daughter of a rich father, she knows no want and is always ready to help others generously. Lara, my best friend, is really an attraction for all our classmates because of her charming figure, happy nature, noble qualities and ever smiling face. How lucky I am to have such a fine friend!
