Concorde was the second-fastest supersonic aircraft that could have up to 100 passengers. It was the best technology and elegance aircraft that flew until the year 2003. Concorde's story was started in France where the constructors thinking about the future of civil planes. In their brains was an idea for a supersonic civil plane. Their numbers sounded incredible: a machine moving at 2200 km / h, 300 m / s with a hundred passengers was supposed to travel from Paris to New York in 3 hours and 20 minutes. The question was whether it was real at all because it was a three-and-a-half-hour flight, but the fighters of that time only managed 3 minutes. In the fifties of the 20th century was the first idea, in the sixties of the 20th century was planes and in the seventies of the 20th century were the first aircraft. I was thanked for French-British cooperation. Each country agreed to build one prototype but each side did in a different country so they have to transport from Paris to Bristol and from Bristol to Paris. They used cargo aircraft Breguet 763 from French aircrafts to transport every piece of the aircrafts. The French constructors were making the front part of the wing, middle part of the aircraft, landing gears and the directionals flaps. British constructors from Bristol were making the front of the aircraft, motor connection, rear part of the plane and both wings. The motors were making Bristol Siddeley they were from group Rolls Royce. The beginnings of supersonic flying date back to the times after World War II. Everyone wanted to overcome the speed of Mach 1 as soon as possible. The British, French, USSR and US joined this race. The aircraft was subjected to huge vibrations during the tests, which led to the loss of control and sometimes the whole machine. The first to beat Mach 1 speed was the American Chuck Yeager in the Bell-X 1. The French then succeeded with the Dassault Mystère II. Then the British English Electric Lightning climbed the Mach 2 speed and a year later, France with the Dassault Mirage III. The constructors made everything on the ground because the first computers on the whole world start their first days of life and the hardest things they were making on CNC machines. Concorde has a lot of news. The first new was his wing. The constructors want that their plane should land in very slow (but for that time was the fastest landing plane on the world two times and something faster than other planes) and in the air, it should be like a missile. But when you want these things on one plane then you should make it with a double curved edge. That has one more good thing: Better buoyancy. The second new was the nose of the aircraft. The first planes of the aircraft were that it will have a long pointed nose. But choice the wing meant that the nose will in takeoff and land distinctly lifted up and it fundamentally limited view on runway. That thing removed tipping nose. When the aircraft takeoffs the nose got down for five degrees and when it lands then the nose got down for twelve-and-half degrees. When the aircraft was in speed Mach 0,7 the nose got straight and over front glass eject aerodynamic visor. The third new was motors. They should give air to them then got it out from the motor and put out the hot from the cabin and passenger zone. Fourth new were brakes. The Concorde lands at very fast speed and that normal steel brakes can't stop on normal Runway so the constructors should make better brakes. After a few months, they made Carbon Ceramic brakes and that can stop that on the normal runway without any parachute. Concorde aircraft was using only two countries France and Great Britain. The biggest rival of Concord was Tupolev Tu-144 which was faster for 229 km/h, but used parachute, steel brakes and in Paris air show crashed from the sky. He flew only on the Moscow-Almaty route for 16 rubles, which is about 100 CZK. But after some time the Soviets no longer had money to fuel the airplane (low ticket price) and so his program ended. Concorde was an only supersonic plane that can transport passengers without any emergency. I was the first plane with the electronic system of moving (that thing has not any jet fighters at that time). Flight engineer has in front of him a large control panel and any mistake can do a very big crash. Unofficial reports sad the Concorde in takeoff made noise 180 decibels but today's Airbus A380 make only 150 decibels. Concorde consumed 83 tons of kerosine to flight from Paris to New York City but today's Airbus A380 consumes only under 50 tons of kerosine. Main Concorde's way to flight was from New York City to Paris, Paris to New York City, London to New York City and New York City to London. Also, he was nicknamed the "Concrete Crusher", which is a nickname for very huge planes (mostly 350+ tons) or those that land on the Runway at very high speed (200 km / h +). The Concorde lands on the Runway at speed 280 km / h. If Concorde land in the same place twenty times without reconstruction of that place then it can crash and other planes can have an emergency there so every time someone looked at the Runway after Concorde land and check every problem there. However, the Concordes had a problem when there were oil crises. At the first, they canceled (the recipients, who at that time-restricted other flights) all 71 contracts already signed and only two groups Air France and British Airways were getting Concordes. Concordes flew without a crash, but the first was in 1979 when an airplane in Washington at the start of the tire burst tires destroyed the wings caused a fire, but pilot lands safely back after 20 minutes at the airport. Then it flies safely to date 25. June. 2000 in airport Charles de Gallue. On that day at 16:43 Concorde takeoffs and one of his gear explode. 4,5 kilograms piece touch in very high speed the fuel tank and it made pressure wave the fuel gets out and another big piece touches the electric cable and that cable made spark and the fuel start the fire. The engines 1 and 2 didn't make some feat and the wing was in the fire and after 118 seconds after the pilot starts engines on the Runway the Concorde felt to the hotel. There died 113 people (100 passengers, 9 crew members and 4 people in the hotel). After crash Concordes stop flying and made better gears better material on fuel tanks (that gave them more weight and they use more fuel), and after some months get back. But lots of people fly in Concordes from Paris or London to New York City because there was WTC but terrorists destroy them and lots of people stop flying there. Air France and British Airways made tickets cheaper but the people don't want flying there after crash and WTC destroy. But if the Concordes was safer the airlines couldn't fill them so at the start of the year 2003, Air France and British Airways sad they will stop all the Concordes. At date 24. October. 2003 was the last civil flight of Concordes. There get look more than 200,000 people and the tickets were 2 times cheaper and somebody pays 3 times expensive tickets and he can move Concorde for a few minutes.
