Hi Typers my name is Satish , I am from India ... I won't take your time in myself so here is my journey ...
I started learning touch typing a month ago on a software known as TypingMaster , and I learnt all the basic key
positions . At that point of time my typing speed was around 11 wpm . Oh yeah , 11 wpm :( but no worries the
good part comes now . So I had no idea on what to do now , my accuracy was too low around 70% .
So I looked up for websites , so I could improve my typing skills , obviously 11 wpm would not benifit me at all .
I came across many sites ,
keybr.com
10ff.com
typeracer.com
typenitro.com ... etc
But I would strongly recommend you guys to go for the keybr.com , after you know the key positions .
I started practicing on keybr then , and it took 1-2 weeks to reach 20 wpm . Now I was a bit more comfortable
with my posture and my hands and fingers . Btw I type on Laptop , I don't have a seperate keyboard so
yes you can achieve good typing speed even on laptops ... I have heard rumors about slow typing speed because of
laptop .
So now I was on 20 wpm , and I had spent around 4 weeks ( 2 weeks in learning key positions and 2 weeks on practicing
keybr ) ... Now , I tried some races on different websites , and I noticed that when it comes to competition I was a rookie.
And the most demotivating races were on 10ff ... some guys reached 120 wpm , 140 wpm , and I was the last typing at 22 wpm ...
So from there the actuall journey began , and if you want to know how I reached 55 wpm , stay tuned as I would be posting my next part of the story . I hope you guys like this text ... pls like this , so I can know you guys wanna hear me next time :)
