A large wedge shaped hypodense area measuring 110 x 37 mm is seen in left Fronto-parietal region inferiorly extending into lentiform nucleus and insular cortex with associated loss of grey-white matter differentiation. No hemorrhagic transformation
Mild mass effect is noted in the form of compression and partial effacement of left lateral ventricle and midline shift of 2 mm towards right
No evidence of acute intracranial haemorrhage / calvarial fracture
IMPRESSION:
Large wedge shaped hypodense area in left Fronto-parietal region inferiorly extending into lentiform nucleus and insular cortex with associated loss of grey-white matter differentiation and mild mass effect as descried- likey represent Acute/ early subacute ischemic infarct along the territory of middle cerebral artery
Mild mass effect is noted in the form of compression and partial effacement of left lateral ventricle and midline shift of 2 mm towards right
No evidence of acute intracranial haemorrhage / calvarial fracture
IMPRESSION:
