TRIAL OF TOP NAZIS:
NUREMBERG: The War Crime Trial of top ranking Nazi Chiefs opened here today (November 20) officially when eight judges of Britain, the United States, Russia and France entered the Courtroom at 10-30 a.m. (European time). Charles Lynch, Ruther's special correspondent cables: Goering, Hess and Reader were the first three accused to enter the Court at 9-30 a.m. Georing and hess at in seats marked number one and two. All the accused were in the dock by with American guards drawn up and lined behind thgem. they appreared to be in good spirits and chatted animatedly with one another. Goering looked slim and was wearing a light grey suit. Hess's hair showed signs of growing thin and he was looking solemn. He smiled at newspapermen as he waited for the judges to arrive. Hess read a book... The German Defence Counsel looked like clergymen wih their strange Mitre-like hats. They were robed in brilliant purple... Lord Justice Lawrence, the British Judge, who is presiding opened the trial by reading from the tribunal charter Fourteen accused donned theri headphones as he read... Julius Streicher, the Chief Jew Baiter, sneered as his name ws read. Dawn Delhi.
