Once, a hungry dog wandered the streets searching for food. After hours of searching, he found a juicy bone near a butcher’s shop. Delighted, he grabbed it and ran to a quiet bridge to enjoy his meal.
As he crossed the bridge, he looked down into the river and saw another dog with a bone in its mouth. The greedy dog thought, "If I take that bone too, I’ll have twice as much!" Without thinking, he barked at his reflection, hoping to scare the other dog away.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, his own bone fell into the river and was swept away by the current. The dog realized too late that the "other dog" was just his reflection. Now, he had nothing.
Moral: Greed leads to loss. Be content with what you have.
