To be fair, every boss has their own personality and way of working. Some are very strict, always scolding or even playing little tricks to stress out employees when they make mistakes. Most of them get angry and take it out on you. I’m not saying that’s right or wrong, but I always felt bad after those situations.

Then I met my current boss. While working, I made a mistake, but I didn’t realize it at the time. My boss just walked by, looked for a moment, and kept going. Later, when the result came out, it was totally wrong. He called me in. I thought I was going to get yelled at. But instead, he simply asked: “Do you know why the result turned out like that?”

I thought hard but honestly didn’t know, so I admitted it. Then he explained clearly what went wrong and how to fix it. That talk felt less like a boss scolding an employee and more like a teacher guiding a student.

To me, he is a boss with a very different style of leadership and work. I was truly impressed—he allowed me to make mistakes.
