The saying, “It is better to have one true friend than all the acquaintances in the world,” shows how important real friendship is. True friends give us strong emotional support. However, I believe that both true friends and acquaintances are important in our lives.
True friends bring us trust and safety. They are the people we can rely on when we feel sad, stressed, or confused. With a true friend, we can share our feelings honestly without fear. They listen to us, understand us, and stand by us in difficult times. Because of this, one true friend can be more valuable than many people we only know on the surface.
However, acquaintances also have their own value. They help us meet new people and learn new ideas. Through acquaintances, we can improve our communication skills and find chances for study or work. Even though the relationship is not very close, it still helps us grow.
In conclusion, true friends are very important for emotional support, while acquaintances help us expand our social world. Both relationships play different roles, and having a balance between them makes life richer and more meaningful.
