After looking over some of my written text, I found that I never use semi-colons. I'm aware that you can use them for lists, yet have never needed to write down said lists. It is fascinating; in many circumstances where I could have used a semicolon I do not. What that an acceptable usage of a semicolon? His name is Tom; he went to the park. Is that an acceptable usage?
