It is very fun to watch your improvement on the typing tests.  When you start out, typing may be very difficult.  However, after a while, you notice that you start feeling you fingers fly.  You may be excited the first time you reach 50 words per minute.  Then, all of a sudden, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.  And then, once you reach 100 words per minute, you will be very interested to see how you compare to the fastest of them all.  Then, all of a sudden, 110, 120, 130, 140...After this point, the difference between your score and the fastest of fastest my depend on various factors:  time, genetics, technique, etc.  There are only a few people in 10fastfingers.com history that have exceeded 200 words per minute.  The fastest person that I have ever known of is Sean Wrona.  He once typed ~220 words per minute and is a very interesting person.  However, this is the best of the best.  10fastfingers.com considers you as one of the fastest if you are averaging 160 wpm or higher.  They will consider you an A+ typist.  However, 160 seems like a really hard score for more people to get, but if you see the rankings, you will find that every day, there seems to be a few people over 160.  Typing has become more and more popular the more people do it.  And yes, the 160 wpm is on the easier test.  However, this is compared to all of the people that type seriously.  In everyday life, you will be seen as a very fast typist if you are 100 words per minute or over.  160 wpm is just the cut-off to be world elite, and, at this point, I would say 160 with no errors or higher.  However, typing is an opinionated thing, and so all that matters is what you think is fast.  If you think that 70 words per minute is fast, then it is fast.  If you think that 1,458,293 words per minute it slow, then, well, you may be having a robot machine do the typing for you, hehe.  And, yes, the advanced typing test is hard, I must say.  It can be hard to feel the way your fingers can reach for the CAPS.  Now, in my life, I have friended people on face-book that are the fastest of fast on typing.  And, to be honest, these people aren't all that obsessed with it.  Why?  They are just born that way.  Sean Wrona was born to type.  Jelani Nelson was born to type.  The fact of the matter is this:  Most people aren't born to type.  But the good news is this:  You can become one of the best of the best if you practice every day very diligently.  However, you may have to be a little gifted.  You don't have to be as gifted as these guys that have the most gifted fingers ever, but if you are pretty gifted and you practice every single day, then you can become one of the fastest typists in the world.  And that is what 10fastfingers.com is telling us!

Sorry if this was too long, hehe.
