My nickname is Off. I'm a Thai AI programmer/developer/engineer or whatever you want to call.
I'm generically a fast typing person but not fast enough because I used to hunt-and-peck with 2-3 fingers but now I'm changing my habit to type using home row so that I can code and chat with LLMs faster.
I did the calculation. If you can increase your speed just by 15% by practicing 10 minutes a day for a year, you would reap the reward as 50x your investment in terms of time saving over 40 years period of typing 2 hours daily on weekdays.
But if you do deliberate practice with focused exercises, you could get there much faster, which means you would get more than 100x return on investment. Don't underestimate motor learning. For example, it took me exactly a month and a half to increase my max typing speed from 130 WPM to 140 WPM. That's ~8% increase after training only 10-20 minutes a day.
